Connecting Europe Conference
Connecting europe 2009

Welcome to the home of Connecting Europe - Latest news
Thank you for visiting the Connecting Europe 2009 conference website.

The organisers of Connecting Europe 2009 have decided for strategic reasons and for the benefit of interested attendees to combine their event with All-Energy 2010. We believe this combination will deliver the most preeminent renewable energy exhibition and conference in Europe and enhance the value of attending significantly for delegates, partners and exhibitors alike.

This means that the Connecting Europe 2009 conference will not be taking place in Edinburgh this year but we very much hope that you may be able to support us at this new combined event which will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference on the 19th and 20th May 2010. Development of the European offshore grid will be examined within the agenda of the second day of All-Energy on 20th May.

All-Energy is a very well established event and its conference element is free to attend. We are anticipating that the agenda for the conference will reflect similar content to that we had originally planned for Connecting Europe 2009.

Establishing an offshore grid to connect the electricity networks of Europe will be a key factor in maximising the efficiency of sustainable energy production and the balancing of supply and demands.

This could ultimately be one of the single largest contributory factors to Europe achieving its carbon emission reduction targets and realising secure energy supplies into the future.
